PowerJamFor the month of July, PowerJam will explore self-control, which is choosing to do what you should do, not what you want to do. Self-control is not only hard for elementary children to master; it’s hard for adults too. When we control our tongues and our anger, we protect ourselves, guard our hearts and minds, and protect those around us. PowerJam leaders will try to help kids see the need to think before they act! God wants us to have self-control. Why? Because even though God is in control of the universe and everything else, He has still given us the freedom to make choices in our own lives. And He wants us to choose to follow His rules and His path. God exhibits self-control whenever He gives us another chance, chooses to love us when we’re undeserving, or allows us to disobey and make mistakes. So yes, God wants us to have self-control. All those who have completed grades1-6 are invited to join us in PowerJam to further explore self control. Please note that Sunday July 6th is a Family Day and there will be no PowerJam that day.
